[Technical Information] About Quartz, Silica, Siliceous Rock, Crystal, and Silica Sand

We are currently offering technical materials that deepen your knowledge of 'silica,' which has high heat resistance of over 1000°C and excellent chemical resistance!

Nitchitsu Co., Ltd., which provides "high silica" (refined silica powder, etc.) to a wide range of industrial fields, has prepared a technical document explaining the classification and characteristics of silica, as well as the features of quartz. Additionally, we introduce examples of applications such as "fused quartz glass" and "synthetic quartz glass" produced by melting quartz powder. ■ Characteristics of Silica - High heat resistance. It can withstand high temperatures of over 1000°C! - High chemical resistance. It slightly dissolves in acids and alkalis, but the rate of dissolution is extremely low. ■ Applications For semiconductor industry, LCDs, optical fibers, optics, scientific research, mercury lamps, sterilization lamps, infrared lamps, optical fibers, semiconductor purification containers, crucibles for pulling silicon single crystals, and more... *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Spherical Silica Dioxide

Spherical silica series / Monodisperse powder by sol-gel method

At Sukgyung AT, we have developed spherical silica powder to save toner usage. By applying the spherical silica powder, manufactured using the sol-gel method, to toner particles, it is possible to significantly reduce toner consumption. Our spherical silica powder, which has already received positive feedback from many leading overseas companies, does not contain any elements subject to RoHS regulations. Furthermore, our research and development center offers optimal particle size adjustments and various surface treatments to meet the diverse needs of our customers.

"Super Silica S" Pure Rice Husk Silica Powder

Rice husk white silica supports a healthy and beautiful "beauty and health routine"!

Rice Husk White Silica: "Super Silica S" is produced using a newly developed method that extracts approximately 96.7% pure silica and the remaining minerals from the familiar rice husks. Considerable effort has been put into enhancing its absorption and penetration in the body. *Silica in the body is found in the connective parts of collagen, and it is also present in nails and hair, which are primarily composed of keratin. Silica is used in the bonding of fibrous proteins. Additionally, silica is abundant in hyaluronic acid, which provides moisture to the skin, and in chondroitin found in joint cartilage. *Collagen in the body accounts for about 30% of all proteins, with 40% of that found in the skin and 20% in bones and cartilage. It is said that these silica components decrease to about half of what they were in childhood by the age of 40, leading to a gradual weakening of cellular functions and noticeable aging. Since silica cannot be produced in the body, it is ideal to increase silica levels by actively consuming shellfish (which contain a high amount of silica, especially rice husks), seaweed, vegetables, legumes, and other foods. However, it seems that sufficient intake is challenging in modern dietary environments.
